Thailand fully reopens from 1 October 2022

THAILAND NOW FULLY REOPENS:
Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is pleased to advise that as of today international travellers to Thailand will no longer be required to show proof of vaccination or ATK test results, and a longer length of stay will be on offer, signaling the completion of the kingdom’s full reopening to international tourism.
Thailand nationwide COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted in line with the announcement of COVID-19 to an endemic. Mask-wearing has been endorsed as voluntary although the public are still advised to wear a face mask in crowded places, such as, public transport, markets, or for people with certain health conditions.
Restaurants, eateries and entertainment venues are opened to serve dine-in customers and alcoholic beverages in accordance with health and safety standards.
THAILAND GRANTS VISA EXTENSION FOR TOURISTS:
Thailand approved the extension on the period of stay to 45 days for tourists from countries/territories entitled for visa exemption, and to 30 days for those eligible for a Visa on Arrival (VOA). This will be in effect from 1 October 2022 until 31 March 2023.
